Anniversary Campaign

Thank you for joining us as we celebrate our 10th Anniversary season!  For ten years, Definiens has been bringing exciting and innovative chamber music programming to communities throughout Southern California.

We are celebrating our first decade of music-making with an exciting season, which we kicked off in October with an encore performance of David Conte’s opera America Tropical supported by the Getty.   Still to come are the West Coast premiere of A Shipwreck Opera by composer John B Hedges with libretto by NY Times Bestselling author Aimee Bender, commissioned works by Elizabeth Nonemaker, Jenni Brandon and Alex Miller, and performances with guest soprano Tony Arnold.  Musicians of Definiens will participate in a residency at the Idyllwild Arts Academy throughout the season, giving concerts and working directly with students preparing for performances.  Definiens will also continue to bring Jennifer Stevenson’s engaging Musical Adventures to children in Southern California.

Our mission to build new and diverse classical music audiences through our entertaining and engaging style of performance depends on the generosity of individual sponsors and public support.  Most importantly, we rely on you, our audience, to keep us going.  Please consider supporting us to reach our goal of raising $2,000 this year.  This will help us to fund our concerts and children’s programs, and allow us to continue bringing high-quality chamber music to our local communities.
