Definiens C3 (Composition Commission Competition)

This year we are offering two categories for our C3. We'll be offering a Young Composers Category for people 23 and younger, as well as a General Composers Category with no age restrictions. Application materials must be received by September 1st 2010. We will announce our winners no later than October 31st 2010 on this webpage. Winners will be notified by email.
Young Composers Category commission will be $250
General Composers Category commission will be $750

Thank you to all the composers who entered the 2009 C3. We received almost 100 scores! We're excited to present our 2009 C3 to Doug Opel.

In 2009 Definiens started a new program to commission composers currently living in California called the California Commissioning Program. Damian Montano recieved our first commission. In 2010 we will commission three more composers from California.
